50 Dresses designer Tess Vigil was invited to style two models in a vintage-meets-modern fashion show following an advanced screening of "Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's" last week at the SIE Film Center. 303 Magazine generously sponsored the event and we had a blast! The documentary follows key figures in the history and present narrative of the iconic department store, Bergdorf Goodman's, in NYC. The executive producer and grandson, Andrew Goodman, also a producer on the film, was there to introduce the film. The film was entertaining and informative, and featured interviews with many top designers who sell in Bergdorf's. Perhaps the most surprising and fun part of the show was following the team who produced the infamous window displays. It was cool to see the artists who make the "window dressing" and realize that the windows at Bergdorf's are an attraction on their own, apart from the clothing they feature.
The film opens today, May 31st, at the SIE Film Center. Info here.
What a fun night! Thanks to 303 Magazine and the SIE Film Center for hosting a great event.
