Hello! I am proud to say I grew up Denver. After moving away to attend college in New York CIty at Columbia University, I moved across the country (again) to Los Angeles, where I taught 6th-8th grade English with Teach For America, and earned my MA in Education. While in LA, I improved my home-sewing skills by immersing myself in the garment district to understand the business of fashion, clothing design, and manufacturing. While taking pattern making and sewing classes at Los Angeles Trade Tech College, I learned the trade of fashion production and worked as an assistant for an LA-based kid's clothing line. In the spring of 2010, I designed and sewed 50 unique dresses in my basement, started a blog, and called it 50 Dresses.
Now, 10 years later, I love to create limited edition clothes and accessories, and teach sewing lessons in the 50 Dresses studio— based in Denver's RiNo Art District since spring 2012.
I’d love to help you make your sewing dreams come true. Please reach out!
